Rochelle began dancing at age 7 and continues her education still today. After training in Northern Virginia, Rochelle graduated from Shenandoah University with a BS in Dance Performance and double minors in Musical Theatre and Psychology. After graduation, she danced professionally with Fairfax Ballet while teaching in Northern Virginia dance studios. Rochelle later relocated to Central Florida where she danced at Walt Disney World and Church Street Station while teaching throughout the area. After several years, Rochelle opened Turning Pointe-A Dance Studio and enjoyed great success for over 10 years, growing to 500+ students while earning numerous Regional and National Awards. During this time she enjoyed judging for Showbiz and other Regional Conventions, was a founding member of Wekiva River Players and DanceAbilites. In 2004, she sold her studio, married her soulmate and moved to Hilton Head Island! She shared her vast knowledge and experience with a local studio to help it grow to almost 400 dancers. Currently, Rochelle is excited to be working together with parents, dancers, teachers and the community to create a strong foundation for all dancers. Alliance Dance Academy is based on Rochelle's love of dance, and giving back to the community by helping dancers experience the important life lessons that go hand-in-hand with the dedication, discipline and desire dance requires.

Ashlyn LaRiche

Ashlyn began dancing at the age of 3 in Northeast Ohio. After taking dance classes in all styles of dance, she realized her love for Ballet was the greatest. In high school, she began traveling to competitions not only as a competitor, but also as the head mentor for the other competitors from the studio. Ashlyn started assistant teaching at the age of 13. A year later she began as the assistant choreographer for her musicals in high school and show choir performances. She has lead her own ballet classes since the age of 14 and is excited to continue spreading her joy of dancing from the tiny stars to the adults with the Alliance Dance Academy family. Ashlyn moved to South Carolina with her husband in 2016. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, is certified in Preschool dance from CLI Studios and is in the process of becoming a certified Rhythm Works Integrative teacher as well. When she is not dancing, she enjoys reading, baking, The Beatles and exploring with her daughter.

Jennie Leonas

Jennie began dancing at age 3 in Westfield, MA. Her love of dance quickly grew and Jennie began competing at the age of 7. Through the years she received numerous awards for her strength, technique and performance: Petite Miss Dance Masters of Connecticut, Top Overall Duo/Trio at American Dance Awards, Teen Miss Acro at Headliners Competition, National Miss Dance Ovations, and was a recipient of scholarships at DMA conventions. Miss Jennie attended Westfield State University where she earned a BS in Business Management while she danced on the WSU Competitive Hip Hop Dance Team. They won UDA New England Championships four years in a row. After graduation, Jennie taught at Dance Works in Westfield, MA for several years and also coached gymnastics for a local high school team. She teaches all types of dance but especially loves Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Acrobatics. Prior to moving to South Carolina, Jennie enjoyed teaching Master Classes at Summer Camps and recently began teaching Pre School and Tiny Tots classes. Jennie and her husband Brett live in Bluffton and share a wonderful son named Kal and daughter named Lexi. When she is not sharing her love of dance, Miss Jennie enjoys music, the beach and cooking!"

Sarah King

Sarah began dancing at age four and studied at Lawrenceville School of Ballet in Georgia, becoming part of their pre-professional company, Southern Ballet Theatre. Her studies include ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical and contemporary dance. Sarah attended summer intensives at Atlanta Ballet and American Ballet Theater and was a Regional Dance America/Southeast scholarship recipient. Sarah attended Radford University on a performing arts scholarship and holds a BFA in Dance with concentration in Classical Ballet. While at Radford University, she choreographed several original works including a senior capstone project for the Honors College. She has performed solo roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Paquita, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty ballets. Following college she danced professionally with D A N A H B E L L A DANCEWORKS, a modern dance company based in the metro Washington D.C. area. She has also performed in community theater productions of Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Mary Poppins and Oklahoma, among others. Sarah has taught dance since high school but ballet is, and always will be, her passion. Sarah and her husband moved to Bluffton in 2020 and love living in the low country. She and her husband have two cats, Mia and Rory, who are spoiled rotten.

Elisabeth Gray

Elisabeth started dancing at the age of 4 in South Bend, IN at Creative DanceN'. She began Assistant teaching at 13 in every style of dance she could, including Polynesian. During her later years as a competitive dancer she was recognized for her dedication to dance with honorable mentions and other top achievement awards. After high school, she began Beauty school and continues to showcase her creativity through her work as a hair stylist and nail artist. Elisabeth moved to Savannah, GA, in 2018, with her loving husband. After a short break from teaching to start her family she is ready to be back sharing her passion. When she's not dancing, you can find her sharing her love of Disney with her kids, cruising the ocean or reading a good book.

Aubrey Mitchell

Aubrey started her gymnastics training in Ashtabula Ohio at the age of 6. She later joined the traveling gymnastics competitive team and at the age of 11 she started cheerleading. She continued cheering all throughout high school and joined the Blue Streak cheer team at John Carroll University where she also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology. Over the years Aubrey has taken classes in multiple styles of dance to complement her gymnastics & cheer training. She has helped multiple students reach their goals in both gymnastics and cheer and has an outstanding passion for teaching proper & safe technique. She moved to South Carolina July of 2024 and became an Acrobatic Arts Certified Instructor in August of 2024 to continue helping as many people as she can reach their dreams. When she is not on the mat, she enjoys spending time with family and her dog, Cody.

Josey Jackson

Josey began dancing at age 2, began competing at age 5 and assisting classes at age 14 with her home studio Fascinating Rhythm Studios. She grew up in the studio taking classes in all styles from Ballet to Pom. Throughout school, she was a varsity dance team member and captain, she performed at football and basketball games and was given the opportunity to perform at Universal Studios Mardi gras parade and festival in Orlando Florida. She also participated in a couple of pageants; she holds multiple titles and awards from them and other events. Josey currently attends the University of South Carolina Beaufort studying psychology. After earning her bachelor's degree, she plans to obtain her master's degree and her PhD to focus on grief counseling and scientific research. Josey has a strong love for dance and wants to share it with those around her in any way possible.

Gracie Maceachern

Gracie learned to walk in the halls of Edmonton School of Ballet, Alberta, Canada while her older sister took lessons. When she finally turned 3 years, she was old enough and began her training at the Edmonton School of Ballet. At 9 years old, Gracie was invited to train in ESB's pre-professional, Preparatory Program. At 12 years, Gracie attended Vimy Ridge Academy Dance which partners with ESB's pre professional program. Here she studied classical ballet syllabi, classical ballet repertoire, modern, lyrical and jazz. While she enjoys the many different styles of dance. During her time at ESB, Gracie danced with the Edmonton Festival Ballet Company where she performed various roles including solos. Her favorite being, the main role of 'Cat' in Edmonton Festival Ballet's original production of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. She also had the opportunity to choreograph her own piece as a senior's project, performed by junior members. During her summers, Gracie attended summer intensives at ESB, Alberta Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Ballet Austin. She has also taken many master classes from Alberta Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Canada's National Ballet, Gogh Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Edmonton City Ballet and Cecchetti Canada. When not dancing herself, Gracie loves teaching and completed her Teacher Assistant Training at ESB in 2015. Upon graduation, Gracie moved to Texas where she taught ballet to all ages: from preschoolers to adults at Arabesque Studio of Dance. After getting married, Gracie followed her husband to Beaufort SC, where they live with their two babies, German Shepherds Koda and Riley.
